2024 Elections

 

Presidential Primary Election - Tuesday, March 5, 2024 (Polls open 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ely Senior Center: 27 1st Ave E)

  • Pre-Registration is open now through February 13th
  • Vote by Mail or in person January 19, 2024 through March 4, 2024
  • Extended hours for walk-in absentee voting - Saturday, March 2, 2024 (9am - 3pm) and Monday, March 4, 2024 (8am-5pm) in the Clerks Office at City Hall 209 E Chapman St
  • March 4, 2024 is the last day (5:00pm) to vote in person at a designated absentee voting site.

Primary Election - Tuesday, August 13, 2024  (Polls open 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ely Senior Center: 27 1st Ave E)
  •  Pre-Registration for the Primary Election is open  now through July 23rd 
  • Vote by Mail or in Person June 28, 2024 through August 12, 2024
  • Extended hours for walk-in absentee voting - Saturday, August 10, 2024 (9am - 3pm) and Monday, August 12, 2024 (8am-5pm) in the Clerks Office at City Hall 209 E Chapman St
  • August 12, 2024 is the last day (5:00pm) to vote in person at a designated absentee voting site.

General Election - Tuesday, November 5, 2024 (Polls open 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ely Senior Center: 27 1st Ave E)
  • Pre-Registration for General Election is open now through October 15, 2024
  • Vote by Mail or in Person September 20, 2024 through November 4, 2024
  • Extended hours for walk-in absentee voting -
           Saturday, October 26, 2024 (9am - 3pm)
           Tuesday, October 29, 2024 (8am - 7pm) 
           Saturday, November 2, 2024 (9am - 3pm)
           Sunday, November 3, 2024 (9am - 3pm)
           Monday, November 4, 2024 (8am - 5pm) 
  • November 4, 2024  is the last day (5:00pm) to vote in person at a designated absentee voting site.

City Offices Candidate Filing Information

Notice is hereby given that the City of Ely General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.  The filing period for Mayor (a 2 year term) and City Council (3 each with 4 year terms) begins at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2024, and ends at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 4, 2024.
