Equipment Operator Trainee, I, or II Position

Position Objectives:

The City of Ely is currently accepting applications for the Equipment Operator Trainee, I or II Position, depending on qualifications.  This is a full time position that includes a benefits package and is part of the AFSCME Base Union.  Primarily responsible for the operation of equipment used in the maintenance and construction of the City’s streets, roads, sidewalks, and parks; performs manual labor for some maintenance and construction activities. Minimum Qualifications include High School Diploma (or equivalent), a valid Class D Minnesota  Driver’s License and ability to obtain a valid Minnesota Commercial Driver’s license (Class B) with required endorsements within 6 months of hire.
