Pursuant to MN Statutes 206.83, the City of Ely will be conducting a public accuracy test for its voting system equipment for the Primary Election to be held on August 11, 2026. The testing will take place at Ely City Hall, Council Chambers, 209 E Chapman St, Ely MN on Monday, July 20, 2026 at 1pm.
The Ely Board of Adjustment will be holding a public hearing for considering a Variance on Wednesday, September 16th, 2026 at 5:00 pm in the City Hall council chambers. At this public hearing the Board of Adjustment will be considering the approval of a Variance Application submitted by Shauna Vega, on behalf of Dexter Inc., proposed location of 202 W Camp St, Parcel #030-0262-00480. The applicant is seeking a Variance to allow an accessory structure (Shed/storage container) be built on the property without a primary structure. The property is zoned Residential (R2), and accessory structures aren’t allowed per ordinance 11.41, without a primary structure.
Public comment will be heard on the date of the hearing and/or may be submitted to any of the following addresses below on or before September 16th to be included in the public hearing. Names and addresses must be submitted in order for comments to be recorded into the hearing minutes.
