NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Ely will hold a Public Hearing on March 4, 2025 at 5:15pm at  Ely City Hall, Council Chambers at 209 E Chapman St, Ely, Minnesota to hear public comment regarding, Ordinance 388 2nd series, regarding the Floodplain Ordinance.

The Ely City Council has approved the 1st Reading of Ordinance No. 388 Floodplain Ordinance at the February 18, 2025 Council Meeting. The ordinance was based off the Minnesota DNR model floodplain ordinance, to satisfy the state and federal standards detailed in Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 103F; Minnesota Rules, parts 6120.5000 – 6120.6200; the rules and regulations of the National Flood Insurance Program in 44 CFR 59 to 78. The ordinance provides the general regulations for development in floodplains, as well as procedures guiding administrative responsibilities.

 

The Ely City Council will hold a Public Hearing on March 4, 2025 at 5:15pm at Ely City Hall, Council Chambers at 209 E Chapman St, Ely, Minnesota to hear public comment regarding Ordinance 388 2nd Series, regarding the Floodplain Ordinance.
