Public Hearing Notice

The Ely Board of Adjustment will be holding a public hearing for considering a Variance on Wednesday, May 15th, 2024 at 5:00 pm in the City Hall council chambers.  At this public hearing the Board of Adjustment will be considering the approval of a Variance Application submitted by property owner Daniel Krings, location of 718 Lakeview Ave N, Parcel# 030-0030-01400. The applicant is seeking a Variance from the front yard setback requirements in the shoreland overlay district of Shagawa Lake. The current minimum front yard setback requirement is 35 feet. The Applicant is requesting a 20 feet setback to allow for an addition on the front of the house to expand living space.

Public comment will be heard on the date of the hearing and/or may be submitted to any of the following addresses below before May 13th to be included in the public hearing. Names and addresses must be submitted in order for comments to be recorded into the hearing minutes.
