May 20th, 2026 BOA Conditional Use Permit Public Hearing - 751 N Pioneer Rd
The Ely Board of Adjustment will be holding a public hearing for considering a Conditional Use Permit on Wednesday, May 20th, 2026 at 5:00 pm in the City Hall council chambers. At this public hearing the Board of Adjustment will be considering the approval of a Conditional Use Permit Application submitted by Kelly Klun and Tanner Spawn, on behalf of KK & PI LLC; proposed location of 751 N Pioneer Rd, Parcel #030-0500-00211. The applicant is seeking a Conditional Use Permit to allow a boathouse (up to 400 Sq. Ft) be built close to the Shoreline of the property (at least 10 feet back from the Original High-Water Mark). The property is zoned Residential (R1), “Boathouses” are allowed by Conditional Use Permit Only, per Shoreland Ordinance 11.42; Subd. (2)(D).
Public comment will be heard on the date of the hearing and/or may be submitted to any of the following addresses below on or before May 18th to be included in the public hearing. Names and addresses must be submitted in order for comments to be recorded into the hearing minutes.
