Pursuant to MN Statutes 206.83, the City of Ely will be conducting a public accuracy test for its voting system equipment for the Primary Election to be held on August 11, 2026. The testing will take place at Ely City Hall, Council Chambers, 209 E Chapman St, Ely MN on Monday, July 20, 2026 at 1pm.
The Ely Board of Adjustment will be holding a public hearing for considering a Variance on Wednesday, August 19th, 2026 at 5:00 pm in the City Hall council chambers. At this public hearing the Board of Adjustment will be considering the approval of a Variance Application submitted by Nels Pierson, Heidi Brandenburg, and Judy Brandenburg; proposed location of 1102 E Camp St, Parcel#030-0380-01310. The applicant is seeking a Variance to allow for a 6-foot-high fence; along on N 11th Ave E. City code restricts fence heights along streets and avenues to a maximum of 4 feet, and a maximum of 6 feet elsewhere.
Public comment will be heard on the date of the hearing and/or may be submitted to any of the following addresses below before August 17th to be included in the public hearing.
