Recycling Center

 
The Ely Recycling Center is located on the Old Airport Road by the Softball Fields.
 
The cardboard recycling program has been suspended in the City of Ely.
Residents wanting to continue recycling their cardboard will need to bring it to the St. Louis County Transfer Station located on Highway 21.
 
No material from contractors will be accepted at the Ely location.

 

City of Ely Residents – Brush, Mulch, Compost Recycling 

Brush, mulch, and compost recycling will be accepted at the “old dump” on Lookout Ridge Road.  The “old dump” will be open on Saturday from 8am – 6pm. Only residents within the City limits of Ely will be allowed to use the brush and mulch recycle area.  All others will need to use St. Louis County’s Transfer Station. The gate to the “old dump” will be locked when the City is not present.

The only material that will be accepted is brush, leaves, pine needles, and grass clippings. There will be a pile dedicated to brush and a separate pile for leaves, pine needles and grass clippings. No plastic bags or any other waste will be allowed.

Other recyclable materials can be recycled at the Ely Recycling Center which is located on the Old Airport Road by the Softball Fields and is open 7 days a week.

                                                                                                                                  

Absolutely no trash is allowed at the Ely Facilities.

Violators will be fined.
